What Family Traditions Does Your Family Have?

Hello Northern Lights Families,

We are hoping to spread some joy out to our school community at the start of the break by having our staff and families share a picture of a holiday tradition for our "Northern Lights School Family Traditions" iMovie. (This will be similar to what we did with the NLS Pumpkin Patch.)  We plan to share out the iMovie link to the school community on Friday, December 18.

If you would like to participate, please send a picture to Mrs. Brinson at mlbrinson@cbe.ab.ca before Wednesday, December 16.

Pictures can be of your family baking cookies, decorating a Christmas tree, standing by outdoor lights, building a snowman, ice skating, lighting candles, singing, dancing, or enjoying anything that represents a tradition that you have during the holiday season.

As our family units can be very diverse, and we recognize different holidays, such as Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, etc., seeing pictures of different traditions will help teach us celebrate our differences while learning more about each other.

We hope families have some fun and we look forward to the photos that will be shared.
