Highlights:
- Today in PE we played four corners.
- In Lively Letters, we learned about King Ed. Ask me what he makes letters do.
- For Math, we played a game that helped us practice our doubles facts.
- Today in Science, we created a small book about how animals camouflage and protect themselves from predators.
Reminders:
Charles Dickens said, “…there is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good humour”. Joy is gleeful and exhilarating and it fills you with a feeling of warmth. It makes you sparkle and gives you the energy you need to pursue your dreams and everything else.
As we head into the last two weeks before the winter break, we have planned a special activity or Spirit Day for each of the last 10 days to help students and staff feel some joy, build a sense of community, and capture memories for our Yearbook.
Monday, December 7 – Classroom Door Decorating Contest / North Pole Ninja Random Acts of Kindness activities begin and continue for the next two weeks
Tuesday, December 8 – SPIRIT DAY - “Dress Like You’re Going on Vacation” Day
Wednesday, December 9 – Cards for Seniors Day (We will be writing holiday greetings for seniors in our long-term care and assisted living facilities that could use a little love and joy.)
Thursday, December 10 – SPIRIT DAY – Wear Red & Green Day
Friday, December 11 – SPIRIT DAY - Festive Sweater Day
Monday, December 14 – SPIRIT DAY - “Dress to Impress” Day (Wear an outfit you would wear to a favourite family celebration (such as for Diwali, Hanukkah, Christmas, New Year’s, Chinese New Year, etc.)
Tuesday, December 15 – SPIRIT DAY - Festive Sock Day
Wednesday, December 16 – SPIRIT DAY - Festive Hat Day
Thursday, December 17 – SPIRIT DAY - Pajama Day / Door Decorating Voting Day
Friday, December 18 – SPIRIT DAY - Jersey Day (since hockey is starting back up in January)
