Highlights:

• Today in Math we started learning about regrouping when completing addition equations.
• In Social Studies, we learned about natural resources.
• For Literacy, we have started a new unit on friendly letters. We talked about what the different parts of a friendly letter are and the things we find in them.
• In PE we played bench ball.

Northern Lights Food Drive

• Northern Lights School is going to be collecting food items for the Calgary Food Bank in order to help families in need. From March 1^st to 12^th, we invite students to bring items such as pasta sauce, uncooked pasta, canned beans, canned vegetables, canned fruit, cereal, canned soup, rice and macaroni and cheese. The food bank also accepts hygiene items such as toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, as well as diapers and baby food.
