Thursday, Mar. 18

Highlights:

  • Today in Science we learned about all the different ways animals adapt to insulate themselves. We learned that some animals have feathers, fur, wool, and blubber to keep them warm. We did a very fun experiment where we got to test out how "blubber" keeps animals such as whales and polar bears keep warm.

  • In Literacy we practiced using the boxes and bullets strategy for non-fiction books. We read a non-fiction text and discussed how we find out the main idea and what sort of supporting details we could use to help our understanding.
  • We also did a fun Math scavenger hunt using different clues about the school.
  • Today we also did a fun activity where we drew and wrote about ourselves at 7 years old and again at 100 years old.
Reminders:

  • Tomorrow's spirit day is Multiples Day.
  • Please make sure you have booked a parent teacher conference for next week.
