Highlights:
- Today we decorated one of our classroom doors. Each class had to decorate their door using a book theme. Our class loves to read I Spy books so we decided to create our own version!
- We did a fun art activity for Literacy Week. We watched a live demonstration from the author Barbara Reid. She walked us through a clay art project. Each of the students were given a bag with their extra clay to take home with instructions to not use it on carpet! See some of our creations below and the class hard at work!
- In Social we learned about some of the important people from Iqaluit. We learned about Nakasuk and also the first mayor the city.
- For Math, we practiced solving equations where there is a missing addend. Ask me what an addend is.
- Tomorrow is Dress Like Your Favourite Book Character Day!
- There is no on Friday.
- Students are reminded to dress for the weather especially if they are wanting to play in the snow at recess.
