Highlights:

• Today in Math we continued to work on solving word problems. We reviewed the steps that we can use and also what key words tell us we are adding or subtracting.
• In Literacy, we wrote the middle section of our stories. We worked on adding details to our problems by using describing words.
• This is a picture of our school's promise to the planet. Each student and staff member created a promise that they can do to help our Earth. Below is also an example of a solar panel that is on our roof. We learned that we 350 of them on our school roof!

• This is our school's completed graph from yesterday. We collected the data for how many students in the school walked, biked, scootered, or skateboarded to school! 

• For Science we connected our learning on liquids to the environmental issue of littering. We learned about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. As a class we discussed ways that we can help the environment and prevent problems like this from occurring.
• In Art, we created a stained class Earth. We have hung them on our classroom windows as reminders of how we need to care for the land we live on.

• Monday is a PD day. There is no school for students.
• Students are reminded to come to school dressed for the weather.
